We are seeking a qualified AMI Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience with Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) systems and demonstrate strong technical knowledge, troubleshooting capabilities, and stakeholder management skills. Only candidates holding an engineering degree will be considered; technician qualifications are not acceptable for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, test, and commission smart water meters as part of AMI deployments.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of AMI systems and architecture.
- Ensure compliance with OMS metering standards and M-Bus protocols.
- Integrate systems with HES (Head-End System) and MDM (Meter Data Management) platforms.
- Configure, commission, and manage Gateways / DCUs (Data Concentrator Units) for accurate and reliable data collection.
- Troubleshoot and resolve communication protocol issues on site, including RF, GPRS, and NB-IoT.
- Engage effectively with stakeholders including meter vendors, service providers, HES teams, and other project partners.
- Prepare accurate technical reports and maintain relevant documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure seamless project execution.
- Adhere to all organizational, safety, quality, and regulatory standards in the performance of duties.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (mandatory; technician diplomas are not accepted for this role).
- Proven hands-on experience with Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) systems and smart meter projects.
- Solid understanding of OMS standards, M-Bus, and various communication protocols (RF, GPRS, NB-IoT).
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management, technical reporting, and multi-vendor coordination.
