- Prepare surfaces for painting by thoroughly cleaning, sanding, and repairing any imperfections to ensure a smooth finish.
- Select appropriate blasting materials and techniques tailored to the specific surface and paint type to achieve optimal adhesion.
- Operate and maintain blasting equipment, ensuring it is in safe working condition and compliant with industry standards.
- Apply primer and paint using spray guns, ensuring even coverage and adherence to project specifications and color matching.
- Conduct quality control inspections during and after application, identifying defects and making necessary adjustments.
- Adhere to safety regulations and protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to minimize exposure to hazardous materials.
- Work collaboratively with project managers and other team members to meet deadlines and maintain workflow efficiency.
- Document material usage, project progress, and any issues encountered, providing clear communication for project updates.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior staff, sharing best practices and techniques to promote a skilled workforce.
- Stay updated on the latest trends, materials, and technologies in blasting and painting to continually improve skills and efficiency.
