Recruitment Requirement of Customs Clearance Engineer
- Have experience for Iraqi project, be familiar for Iraqi customs clearance procedure, especially Levy exemption procedure. Accepted to work in Iraq.
- Customs Documentation Review
- Review customs-related documents, such as commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and other required forms.
- Ensure all documents comply with local and international customs regulations.
- Customs Compliance
- Stay updated on Iraqi customs laws, tariffs, and trade regulations to ensure compliance.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to customs violations or delays.
- Communication with Customs Authorities
- Liaise with customs officers, freight forwarders, and other stakeholders to resolve issues or provide clarifications.
- Represent the company during customs audits or investigations.
- Import/Export Process Management
- Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure timely clearance of goods.
- Monitor and track shipments to ensure they meet customs requirements and schedules.
- Tariff Classification
- Determine the correct classification of goods for customs purposes, ensuring accurate HS (Harmonized System) codes are used.
- Cost Optimization
- Identify opportunities to reduce customs-related costs, such as minimizing delays, optimizing documentation processes, or exemptions.
- Problem-Solving
- Address customs-related issues, such as discrepancies in documentation, goods misdeclaration, or delays.
- Develop strategies to prevent recurring problems.
- Training and Support
- Provide training to internal teams on customs regulations and documentation requirements.
- Offer support to other departments in understanding customs processes.
- Record Keeping and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of all customs-related activities.
- Generate reports on customs clearance performance, delays, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Risk Management
- Assess and mitigate risks associated with customs compliance, such as penalties or delays.
- Implement measures to ensure the company adheres to customs regulations and avoids legal issues.
