Fabrication: Duct fabricators create ductwork products from Sheets (GI, Aluminum, SS, MS) Cutting and Shaping: Using hand tools and computerized equipment, fabricators cut, shape, and assemble ductwork components to precise dimensions. Quality Control: Ensuring that all fabricated ductwork meets industry standards and specifications is a critical part of the job. Skills and Qualifications Technical Skills: Proficiency in using metalworking tools and machinery, including saws, drills, and computerized cutting equipment. Attention to Detail: Precision in measurements and cuts is essential to ensure proper fitting and functionality of duct systems. Physical Stamina: The role often requires lifting heavy materials and working in various environments, including confined spaces. Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot issues that arise during fabrication Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety protocols and practices to maintain a safe working environment Qualifications Strong technical and mechanical skills with experience in fabricating machinery and tools operation Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints Proficiency in welding and metalworking techniques Attention to detail and strong inspection skills to ensure quality Good communication and teamwork skills High school diploma or equivalent, with relevant vocational training or certifications Previous experience in a fabrication role is preferred
