Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal product and equipment, such as ducts, control box, drainpipes, and furnace casings. Work may involve any of the following setting: up and operating fabricating machines to cut, bend ,and straighten sheet metal ,sharping metal over anvils, blocks or forms using hammer, operating soldering and welding equipment to join sheet metal parts, or inspecting assembling ,and smoothing seams and joints of burred surfaces. Includes sheet metal duct installers who install prefabricated sheet metal ducts used for heating, air conditioning or other purposes.

• Follows the day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work.
• Responsible for measuring up for HVAC ducting & cladding work, undertaking development and fabrication.
• Cutting and fabricating sheets into necessary cladding shapes.
• Fabricate and assemble structural meatal products.
• Fabricate frameworks or shell for machinery, HVAC system, ovens, tanks, and stacks, and metal parts for buildings.
• Must know how to measure, layout plates before cutting and bending into shapes.
• Operate fabricating machines such as rolls, shears, and flame cutters.
• Preparatory works prior to cutting plates.
• Cuts and drills holes in floor, walls, metal plates and roof to install equipment’s using hand and power tools.
• Must have good knowledge of operation of shears, brakes, flame cutters, rollers, benders and grooving machines.
• Able to read Fabrication drawings.
