Role Overview
We seek a qualified and driven Safety/HSE Officer to join our expanding team. This role involves working across key infrastructure projects, ensuring high standards in delivery, compliance, and stakeholder collaboration.
JOB PURPOSE:
This position exists to ensure that employers and workers comply with safety legislation and that safety policies and practices are adopted and adhered to. EHS Officers use their knowledge and skills to promote a positive health and safety culture in the workplace
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
▪ Implements all Safety aspects as per Company policy, Client approved LPP, contractual and legal requirements related to the project.
▪ Gets information on work schedule and makes analysis of safety requirements and hazards.
▪ Ensures concerned supervisors and foremen to conduct daily safety review and implement safety aspects relevant to the particular type of work.
▪ Ensures that the foreman and operators are trained, qualified, authorized and licensed.
▪ Forecasts any risk and corrects unsafe acts.
▪ Adopts zero risk policy in all fields of activities.
▪ Reports immediately any safety violation directly to the Project Manager.
▪ Checks usage of proper tools and shall allow to use only if found satisfactory.
▪ Ensures workers wearing Safety gears like Safety Belts, Gloves, Safety Shoes, Hard hats etc.
▪ Carry out daily inspections to see that safe working methods are in operation and H&S requirements are being observed and that welfare/first aid facilities are properly maintained at site.
▪ Promotes motivation activities to increase Health, Safety and Environmental awareness and excellence at site.
▪ Stops work when he found there are failures to work safely
