The HVAC Service Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the HVAC service department. The role involves managing service technicians, scheduling service work, ensuring timely completion of maintenance and repair tasks, maintaining customer satisfaction, and driving operational excellence. The ideal candidate will ensure that all service operations meet company standards for quality, safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily operations of the HVAC service department.
• Ensure proper scheduling of service work, including maintenance, repairs, and emergency calls.
• Monitor service requests and prioritize tasks to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, company policies, and safety regulations.
• Supervise, mentor, and coach a team of HVAC service technicians.
• Conduct performance reviews, set individual and team goals, and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
• Handle escalated customer service issues and provide prompt resolutions.
• Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by ensuring service excellence and timely communication with clients.
• Develop strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders to retain business and enhance service opportunities.
• Manage the service department’s budget, including tracking expenses, labor costs, and equipment maintenance.
• Maximize profitability by improving efficiency, reducing downtime, and optimizing resource allocation.
• Assist in creating pricing strategies for service contracts, repairs, and installations.
• Ensure all service work meets quality standards and is compliant with local regulations and safety guidelines.
• Conduct regular audits of work performed by technicians to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
• Manage inventory of parts and equipment required for HVAC service operations.
• Coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery of materials and negotiate pricing to optimize costs.
• Ensure that all tools, vehicles, and equipment are properly maintained and serviced regularly.
