We are seeking a skilled and reliable Fire Sprinkler, Piping & Duct Technician to join our construction team. The technician will be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining fire sprinkler systems, associated piping, and HVAC ductwork according to approved drawings, project specifications, and applicable safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install firefighting systems including piping, sprinklers, fittings, supports, and nozzles.
- Install HVAC ducts (GI and PI) including ducts, hangers, dampers, and insulation as required.
- Interpret and work from blueprints, technical drawings, and installation schematics.
- Measure, cut, thread, and assemble pipe and ducts using hand tools, power tools, and machines.
- Ensure proper alignment, pitch, and support for piping and ducting systems.
- Conduct pressure and leak tests on fire systems and check duct alignment/sealing.
- Coordinate with site engineers, foremen, and other trades to ensure smooth workflow.
- Identify and resolve on-site technical issues or clashes.
- Follow safety standards and local civil defense/fire authority regulations.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work environment.
- Document work activities, material usage, and inspection results.
