JOB PURPOSE
Operate machine and equipment according to Standard Operating Procedures, processes and manufacturing plan to safely produce conforming products that meet targeted outputs.
KEY ACCOUNTABILTIES
Policies, Processes and Procedures
- Operate assigned machinery and equipment safely and efficiently in line with Ducab Standard Operating Procedures, processes, standards and instructions and with lean principles
Health, Safety and Environment (HSE)
- Implement all relevant HSE policies, procedures & guidelines
- Participate in Emergency Response duties as a team member, as applicable
Reports
- Provide input for the preparation of method statements and initiate any near-miss reports
- Prepare various quality checklists for management to support quality programs
Health, Safety and Environment (HSE)
- Implement all relevant HSE policies, procedures & guidelines
Housekeeping
- Implement 5S principles to keep the work environment clean and tidy before, during and after executing the job
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
- Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives for innovation and continuous improvement
Machine Specifications and Condition
- Set up and run the machine efficiently to specified specifications to product the required output
- Monitor the machine condition and performance and report to the Supervisor any deviations to achieve required efficiency and output
Quality Checks
- Perform quality checks on the product to ensure conformance, raise notifications in SAP and report any deviations to the Supervisor for corrective action
- Carry out routine checks on machine parameters in line with the Ducab check list to detect deviations or abnormalities and inform the Supervisor for prompt corrective action
Autonomous Maintenance
- Undertake autonomous maintenance of equipment as scheduled by SAP to meet preventive and autonomous maintenance objectives
SAP system
- Maintain a record of production in the logbook and quality records in SAP to allow traceability, investigation of causes, deviations and generate corrective action
Training
- Train new operators and assistants on machine
