Position: Purchase Manager – Japanese Automotive Spare Parts

Reports To : Directors & Head of Division

Team / Department : Automotive Divisions

Location : Jebel Ali Free Zone

Purpose of the Role : Sales Development -

1. Regularly Order Placement
2. Pricing and Profitability Accuracy
3. Market Pricing Review
4. New Product Development
5. In House ERP Catalog Updation

Working Relationships :

1. Part of Automotive Division and Team in Head office Jebel Ali Free Zone
2. Report Directly To Director and Head of Automotive Division
3. Mandatory Weekly Report of Activities
4. Follow Work Flow Process Diligently
5. 6 Days Working Mon – Saturday 9-6 Pm
6. Team Player
7. Must be ready to fill in and support Team if someone else is in need.
8. You will be working in a dynamic and busy environment wherein you will be dealing directly with principals and suppliers

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities

1. To Generate order quantities by the system and ensures accurate orders on principals and other suppliers to achieve healthy stock availability and turnaround.
2. To monitor Bi-Monthly and ensure orders are negotiated and placed with principal and suppliers within the stipulated time.
3. Follow with Principals and Suppliers for timely Delivery and coordinate with Logistics division for Immediate and cost-effective Shipment.
4. Types general correspondence, inquiries to suppliers and prepare quotations as directed, for signature by parts manager.
5. To implement effective mechanisms for the replenishment of parts to ensure no out of stock position
6. To review all stocks and to point out slow-moving and unconsumed parts Lean Inventory and ensure no goods are offered and sold out at appropriate pricing.
7. Work with Pricing team on parts pricing and maintenance in system
8. Conduct regular field visits and follow up with Sales team to check New product Requirements
9. To plan and finalize NEW parts order for new models & ensure availability during new product launches.
10. Product Identification Vehicle wise is a via EPC, Online Parts Catalogs of various Vehicle manufactures through VIN numbers and Chassis Numbers

Person Specification:

1. Understanding of Japanese Auto Parts Purchase, Pricing and Supply Chain model
2. 5- 7 years relevant experience in the Japanese Automotive Parts Industry
3. University Graduate/Diploma in Automobile is a Plus
4. Experience is OES Parts Procurement Team
5. Prior Experience in Dealing with Automotive Parts Principals/ Suppliers

Language Requirements

1. English
2. Hindi
