The Quality Control (QC) Engineer is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and improving project quality control procedures and systems throughout the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) phases. This role is not an inspection role but is focused on quality control management, compliance, documentation, and coordination across all disciplines and departments to ensure project quality objectives are achieved.
Candidates with experience in Saudi Aramco projects and international certifications will be given preference.
- Implement and monitor project quality control plans (QCPs) and procedures in line with contractual and client requirements.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure compliance with approved specifications and standards.
- Develop and maintain quality documentation, including ITPs, checklists, NCRs, and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Review and verify subcontractor/supplier quality documents, such as method statements, material approvals, and welding procedures.
- Monitor site activities to ensure work is carried out in accordance with project quality requirements, but not performing actual inspections.
- Liaise with clients, third-party agencies, and internal stakeholders on all quality-related issues.
- Participate in internal and external quality audits, manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), and follow up on closeouts.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and quality awareness training programs.
- Report regularly on quality performance and assist in root cause analysis when required.
