- Responsible for business planning and strategy development in the FOOD sector,, Staple and basic food categories like rice, flour, cooking oil and grains - Identify and establish long-term partnerships with direct distributors and wholesalers. - Stay on the lookout for new suppliers based on strategy. - Assist in setting the yearly budget/sales target and profit per category. - Administer the price setting and respect the margin per category. - Monitor and enhance category/product performance. - Establish long-term development strategies for product categories. - Develop exit strategies for unsuccessful products. - Create trust relationships with vendors to achieve better pricing and quality of services. - Determine the positioning of a product category to maximize visibility. Monitor price and competition. - Collaborate with buyers and merchandisers to expand product categories. Assume responsibility of budget development and revenue for category.
