- Lead and oversee daily shop-floor operations, ensuring that production targets are met efficiently and safely.
- Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify maintenance needs and prevent production downtime.
- Collaborate with production teams to implement lean manufacturing principles, enhancing workflow and reducing waste.
- Utilize data analysis to monitor production metrics, identify bottlenecks, and recommend process improvements.
- Train and mentor junior engineers and operators on best practices, safety protocols, and technical skills.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
- Act as a liaison between management and shop-floor teams, facilitating effective communication and problem resolution.
- Participate in the design and implementation of new production processes or technologies to improve efficiency.
- Document and report on production activities, quality control measures, and machine performance for continuous improvement.
- Assist in troubleshooting production issues and provide immediate solutions to minimize disruptions.
