Job Purpose
Responsible to ensure all the resource needed to execute each job are ready and available: The Foreman accurately reports spares and materials needed for providing services to our client, manages and assigns the crew for jobs, and updates testing and certifications needed for the equipment. He is aware of the potential risks associated with each service performed at the base and wellsite and actively promotes the importance of HSE and Service Quality to ensure the safety of all personnel at all times.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
Manage crew assignments to optimize resources.
Make recommendations to management on manpower and equipment requirements based on job load.
Report any problems/concerns raised by the crew to management.
Promote the importance of HSE and Service Quality within operations.
Manage tools/equipment and maintain accurate records in the internal system.
Assist Slickline Supervisors with resources and logistics for wellsite operations.
Plan and execute slickline operations (plug setting/pulling, shifting, fishing, memory gauge deployment, wellbore cleanup, well integrity tasks).
Ensure proper tool string design, job planning, equipment selection, and pre-job testing.
Authorize rig-up/rig-down of pressure control equipment and ensure compliance with standards.
Troubleshoot operational issues, tool failures, and downhole challenges.
Manage logistics and transportation during unplanned job sequences.
Be available 24/7 for operational or emergency requirements.
Ensure pressure control equipment (PCE) is maintained, tested, and certified.
Participate in training programs and track certification of team members.
Stay updated with latest equipment and maintenance technologies.
Achieve assigned KPIs and perform additional duties as required.
People Management
Promote a “lead by example” culture by following safety standards.
Ensure smooth coordination among team members.
Supervise and coordinate Slickline Crew Chiefs, Operators, and Assistants.
Ensure team members understand roles, responsibilities, and safety requirements.
Provide coaching and training to improve team performance.
Assess capabilities and assign tasks based on experience.
Safety and Compliance
Promote a strong safety culture.
Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas.
Secure maintenance manuals and confidential documents.
Follow company HSE policies and procedures.
Support efforts to minimize HSE&Q risks.
Conduct audits for unsafe acts and hazardous conditions.
Stop unsafe work and implement corrective actions.
Improve safety and efficiency of maintenance procedures.
Maintain confidentiality of company and client information.
Participate actively in HSE-related initiatives.
Service Quality & Reporting
Promote safety awareness across operations.
Ensure all pressure control equipment is certified and operated safely.
Maintain readiness of downhole tools.
Inspect slickline units and ensure compliance.
Equipment and Vehicle Management
Conduct daily inspections of slickline units, vehicles, and equipment.
Verify mechanical condition and certifications before mobilization.
Maintain proper housekeeping at worksites and operational zones.
Ensure proper wire management (spooling, tension, monitoring wear, lubrication).
Organize and maintain tools, consumables, and spares inventory.
Behavioural & Technical Competencies
Basic Skills:
Good mechanical aptitude
Understanding of basic mathematics
Understanding of basic principles of electricity
Knowledge of Windows-based systems (ICDL preferred)
Basic computer literacy
Ability to manage multiple crews and plan logistics efficiently
Proven leadership and decision-making under operational pressure
Strong technical and troubleshooting ability in slickline operations
Good communication skills
Ability to work in a team environment

Language Skills
