Must be able to design and analyze Steel Structure elements of buildings and other steel structures.
Must be able to develop detailed design calculations for the steel structures , all steel to steel and steel to concrete connections and get approval from contractor, client and consultants.
Must be able to review shop drawings prepared in Tekla and Autocad and manage the modelling and detailing team.
Must be able to do connection design of complex steel structures for buildings, warehouses, industrial projects using connection software such as idea statica or RAM/LIMCON or be able to generate own excel spreadhseets for connection design.
Can do quantity take off for steel structures from the Tender/IFC drawings provided.
Create detailed technical drawings and specifications for construction projects.
Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other professionals to develop structural designs.
Conduct site visits and inspections to assess existing structures and identify potential issues.
Perform calculations and simulations to determine the strength and stability of structures.
Review and approve design changes and modifications based on project requirements.
Provide guidance and support to junior engineers and drafters.
Stay updated on industry standards, codes, and regulations related to structural design.
Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely completion of design deliverables.
Communicate and present design concepts and proposals to clients and stakeholders.
