 ROLEProduction EngineerReports to Production Manager / G M - Operations Manage, Design reviews, Engineering Changes, System and Component modifications, Plan and Supervise fabrication, Assembly and testing of component and system prototypes. Manage Project costs.ResponsibilitiesPlanning and organizing production schedulesAssessing project and resource requirements Ensuring that health and safety regulations are metRequest for Action (RFA)to QA/QC dept on each stage of fabrication and deliveryOverseeing production processes Negotiating timescales or schedules as necessary Request for Action (RFA)to maintenance dept / organizing the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment Supervising and managing the work of junior staff Organizing relevant training sessions.Basic DutiesCalculate the direct cost for each item by analyzing the item to its basics (Material, Equipment & Manpower) all conforming with the project specifications & ensure pricing inputs are supported by adequate Basis of Estimate and Bill of Quantities.Calculate/assist in the calculation of other costs (Engineering, supervision, management, site & camp facilities, transportation, clearance, taxes, insurances, permits, license ... etc.).. Regular DutiesExecuting the work orders prepared by the operations Dept.Planning the Material required for the concerned work Orders.Planning the Manpower required for a job to complete as per the Work Order.Overtime Planning of both Supervisors & Workers.Ensuring the Production is cost effective.Avoid Manpower and material Wastage.Overseeing the work of Supervisor.Ensure proper documentation of the Production Dept.& QCStage Inspection Report (Monitor the Supervisor)Final Inspection Report (Update at the time of delivery)Project Progress Report (Update Daily)Rework Log (Update when a material is returned by the client)Directing the Works of Site & Workshop Supervisors.Coordinating the Site works with Manpower, Materials & Fleet.Ensuring the Safety of the workers in house and Site.
