To provide detailed Electrical design and engineering for Overhead Transmission Lines for Extra High Voltage AC & DC Transmission Lines using PLS CADD Software. The engineer will ensure that complete design is in compliance with relevant codes, SEC standards, and client specifications. A. Key Responsibilities: 1. Electrical Design (Overhead Transmission Lines) • Model and design OHTL routes using PLS-CADD software. • Generate sag-tension calculations, clearance profiles and spotting charts Optimize tower spotting to minimize environmental and structural impacts. • Analyze conductor behavior under different loading conditions (wind, ice, temperature). • Prepare stringing charts and coordinate with construction team for smooth execution of work. • Calculate Line Parameters using relevant software. • Coordinate with surveyors and site Engineers for route optimization. • Ensure compliance with **NESC, IEC, or client-specific standards Support construction teams with as-built updates and design modifications. • Guide AutoCAD Draftsmen through all phases of Design from Base Design to As-Built. 3. Drafting and Modeling Support • Coordinate with draftsmen to develop Route Plan and to ensure accurate design drawings production. • Review and validate design drawings against design inputs and standards. 4. Technical Documentation • Prepare technical specifications, data sheets, and design reports as per client requirements • Assist in developing tender BOQ. • construction design packages. 5. Coordination and Integration • Coordinate with Client for design review and approval. • Participate in design review meetings (internal and with clients). • Ensure design aligns with constructability, operability, and maintainability requirements. 6. Codes, Standards, and Compliance • Ensure designs comply with international and local codes. • Incorporate client-specific standards and best practices. • Apply lessons learned and value engineering in design stages. B. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. • Professional registration or pursuing registration (e.g., PE, PMP) is preferred. C. Experience: • 5 years of relevant experience in OHTL Design and minimum 3 Years for PLS CADD Software. • Prior experience in OHTL Design for 132kV, 380kV, 500kV Systems

5+ years’ experience in protection testing in substations:· Good knowledge in power electrical systems up to EHV levels.· Expert in live substations works is advantage· Familiar with protection schemes & logics· Familiar with controllers, ATS, … configuration· Familiar with protection relay configuration & testing.· Familiar with substation automation SAS and Scada systems· Good representative with Client for all commissioning scope (coordination, approvals, meetings, planning,…)· Gulf experience is preferable.
