- Develop detailed 3D models of dry utility infrastructure (power, gas, telecom) using Civil 3D software, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications and design standards.
- Create and manage complex Civil 3D surfaces, alignments, profiles, and pipe networks for dry utility systems, incorporating real-world constraints and design requirements.
- Perform clash detection analysis within the Civil 3D model to identify and resolve conflicts between utility infrastructure and other site elements, such as buildings and existing utilities.
- Generate accurate plan and profile sheets, cross-sections, and quantity takeoffs from the Civil 3D models for construction and permitting purposes.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other project stakeholders to understand project requirements, address design issues, and ensure model integrity.
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and survey data to accurately represent the design intent within the Civil 3D model.
- Implement and maintain Civil 3D standards and best practices for modeling, ensuring consistency and efficiency across projects.
- Prepare and submit utility permit drawings and documentation to relevant authorities, adhering to local regulations and requirements.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of Civil 3D templates, styles, and custom objects to streamline the modeling process.
- Stay current with industry trends, software updates, and best practices related to civil engineering and utility modeling.
