  • Accurately process customer transactions using a point-of-sale (POS) system, ensuring minimal wait times and optimal customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a clean, organized checkout area, ensuring all merchandise is neatly displayed and easily accessible to customers.
  • Handle cash, credit, and check transactions with precision, ensuring proper change is given and all financial exchanges are securely managed.
  • Engage with customers in a friendly manner, providing assistance and answering inquiries to enhance their shopping experience.
  • Monitor inventory levels at the register, reporting discrepancies or low stock to management to ensure prompt replenishment.
  • Identify and resolve customer complaints or issues at the register, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and maintaining a positive store atmosphere.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, especially regarding security, cash handling, and customer service standards.
  • Process returns and exchanges efficiently, ensuring compliance with store policies while maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in training new cashiers, sharing best practices and operational knowledge to foster a collaborative team environment.
