Assist chefs in basic food preparation, including cutting, cleaning, marinating, and portioning ingredients.
Support daily kitchen operations to ensure smooth workflow during service.
Supervise and guide junior kitchen helpers and stewards.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen areas, equipment, and storage spaces.
Ensure proper washing, handling, and storage of utensils and kitchen tools.
Follow food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP guidelines).
Help in receiving, checking, and storing deliveries of food supplies.
Ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO) and minimize wastage.
Assist in setting up kitchen stations before service and closing duties after service.
Coordinate with chefs and other kitchen staff to meet service requirements on time.
Report any maintenance or safety issues in the kitchen
