OVERALL PURPOSE OF ROLE:
To monitor, analyse, and assess the health of plant equipment in Company and Client premises using predictive and condition monitoring techniques, ensuring early fault detection, improved equipment reliability, and reduction of unplanned downtime.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Condition Monitoring Activities:
Conduct routine condition monitoring of all type of rotating and static equipment including but not limited to pumps, compressors, turbines, motors, gearboxes, fans, conveyors, etc. by using Vibration analysis, Infrared thermography, Ultrasonic inspection, Oil and lubricant analysis, Motor current signature analysis, Establish monitoring routes, frequencies, and alarm limits.
Data Analysis and Diagnostics
Collect and analyse machine condition data using specialized software.
Identify abnormal trends and diagnose potential faults such as imbalance, misalignment, bearing defects, lubrication issues, and mechanical looseness.
Establish baseline equipment signatures for trend comparison.
Predictive Maintenance Support
Recommend corrective and preventive actions based on analysis results.
Coordinate with maintenance planners for scheduling predictive maintenance activities.
Support implementation of Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) strategies.
Failure Investigation
Participate in equipment failure investigations.
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and provide technical recommendations to prevent
recurrence.
Support shutdown and turnaround inspections.
Reporting and Documentation
Prepare weekly and monthly condition monitoring reports.
Maintain condition monitoring databases, equipment health records, and historical trend data.
Provide technical presentations to maintenance and operations teams.
System Development and Improvement
Assist in installation, calibration, and commissioning of condition monitoring systems and sensors.
Optimize monitoring techniques and recommend new technologies for reliability improvement.
Safety and Compliance
Ensure all monitoring activities comply with Company and Client safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Identify equipment conditions that may pose safety risks and escalate immediately.
Training and Coordination
Train technicians and operators on basic condition monitoring awareness.
Coordinate closely with operations, planning, and maintenance teams to ensure timely
corrective actions.
