Position Title: Estimation Engineer / Designer / Draftsman – Porta Cabin

Department: Engineering – Modular Prefabricated Solution

Reports To: Project Manager – Modular Prefabricated Solutions / Division Manager (POD)

Position Overview

This role combines estimation, design, and drafting capabilities to support Smart Modular Solutions projects, including modular PODs, prefabricated units, smart energy systems, and specialized modular structures. The position ensures accurate technical drawings, competitive pricing, and reliable design support from tender stage through project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Estimation (Costing & Tender Support)

• Review tender documents, project specifications, and client requirements for modular solutions.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, fabrication, installation, and logistics.
• Coordinate with procurement for updated material prices and supplier quotations.
• Prepare BOQs, quantity take-offs, and cost breakdowns for modular PODs and prefabricated systems.
• Support the sales and project team in preparing technical and commercial proposals.
• Evaluate design changes and provide cost impacts and value engineering options.

2. Design & Engineering Support

• Develop conceptual and detailed designs for modular PODs, MEP-integrated units, and smart modular structures.
• Ensure technical compliance with standards, building codes, and client requirements.
• Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and architectural teams for integrated modular designs.
• Participate in design reviews and adjust layouts based on engineering feedback.
• Support R&D of new modular product configurations and smart features.

3. Drafting & Technical Submittals

• Prepare detailed 2D/3D drawings, shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and installation layouts.
• Use CAD/BIM tools (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, SolidWorks/Tekla if required).
• Prepare documentation for technical submittals, drawing registers, and revisions.
• Maintain proper drawing control, file management, and revision records.
• Assist production with detailed fabrication sketches and dimensional clarifications.
