Tendering Strategy for Wellhead Systems - API 6A
- To understand the client requirements for wellhead systems from the tender documents and prepare a tendering strategy to ensure a bid is coordinated and developed
- To work with Sales / BD team and cooridanate with the customer (s) for any clarifications or pre bid meetings and ensure all queries are clarified.
- Develop accurate estimates & proposals (tenchical and commercial) based on site visits, scope execution methodologies, project execution plans received from subject matter experts with the use of appropriate NORMs and complexity factors.
- Prepare, review, modify estimates and proposals if needed and ability to communicate the changes with all relevant internal and external stakeholders.
- To gather intelligence from customer, public sources, competition about the tender and potential options for submissions by creating strategies for the bid.
- To be the focal point and coordiate with sales/BD, supply chain, engineering, operations, finance and HR teams in order to prepare the bid with technical and commercial documents.
- To create final proposals using engineering drawings by segregating BOM's, working with supply chain to determine lead times and pricing for regular and expidited deliveries, workign the commercial team to understand tax and duties related implications.
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of principles of a strategic estimation approach. May influence the development of strategies and may have the ability to identify the aim and objectives of lower value/less complex contracts.
- Ability to develop organization specific NORMs based on industry standards and historical data for future projects within the wellhead systems and other products and services offered by the company.
- Ability to articulate the risks of the estimate and develop mitigating responses to these risks
- Ability to forecast project cash flows based on planned milestones, supply schedules.
- Should be able to use standard company approved IT systems such as MS Office and EPICOR to make output as efficiently as possible.
- Must have the ability to update the systems with new records and data, produce reports and set up Templates for the use of others to enable the dept to work as efficiently as possible
