Job Purpose:

The Food Packer at central kitchen is responsible for accurately packaging and preparing food items for delivery to clients, events, and catering sites. This role ensures all items are packaged according to company standards, maintains high quality and safety standards, and supports the kitchen team in meeting delivery schedules. Attention to detail, efficiency, and teamwork are essential to succeed in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Package Food Items: Portion, arrange, and package food items according to menu specifications and client requirements.
• Labeling and Documentation: Ensure that all packages are properly labeled with item names, ingredients, expiration dates, and special instructions.
• Quality Control: Inspect packaged items to ensure they meet quality and presentation standards. Report any discrepancies or issues to the supervisor.
• Inventory and Stocking: Assist in tracking inventory for packaging supplies and food items, and notify supervisors of shortages or reordering needs.
• Maintain Cleanliness: Follow all health, hygiene, and sanitation regulations to keep workstations, equipment, and the packing area clean and organized.
• Temperature Control: Monitor and record temperatures for hot and cold food items, ensuring they are stored safely before packing.
• Support Team: Assist other kitchen staff in food preparation and perform additional duties as required to support efficient kitchen operations.
