Key Responsibilities System, Server, Virtualization & Database Administration • Install, configure, and maintain Windows and/or Linux servers • Deploy, manage, and monitor Virtual Machines (VMs) and virtual environments • Administer Microsoft SQL Server: o Installation, configuration, and basic performance monitoring o User access and security management o Backup and restore operations • Manage Active Directory, user accounts, group policies, and access permissions • Monitor system, VM, and database performance, uptime, logs, and capacity • Apply system, VM, and database updates and security patches Hosting, cPanel & Email Administration • Administer cPanel & WHM environments • Manage domains, DNS records, and email accounts • Troubleshoot email delivery issues (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, spam filtering, blacklists) • Monitor hosting server performance and resource utilization • Perform email and hosting backups and restores Network, Firewall & Security • Configure and maintain LAN/WAN networks • Administer Fortinet (FortiGate) firewalls, including: o Firewall policies, NAT, and routing o Site-to-Site and Remote Access VPNs o Security profiles (IPS, Antivirus, Web Filtering) • Monitor network traffic, logs, and security events • Enforce IT security policies and best practices IP Telephony (Avaya) • Install, configure, and maintain Avaya IP Phone systems • Manage extensions, users, call routing, IVR, voicemail, and SIP trunks • Troubleshoot call quality, latency, and connectivity issues • Coordinate with telecom providers and vendors CCTV & Physical Security Systems • Configure and maintain IP-based CCTV systems • Manage NVR/DVR devices, storage, access permissions, and retention policies • Ensure compliance with privacy and data protection regulations Backup & Disaster Recovery • Implement and monitor backup and disaster recovery solutions • Perform regular restore testing for systems, VMs, and SQL databases • Maintain disaster recovery documentation User Support & Access Management • Provide 2nd / 3rd level technical support • Manage user access to systems, email, VPNs, VMs, databases, IP phones, and applications • Troubleshoot system, VM, network, email, firewall, database, telephony, and CCTV issues Documentation & Continuous Improvement • Maintain accurate documentation for systems, virtual environments, networks, databases, security, and procedures • Recommend infrastructure, security, database, and automation improvements • Support IT infrastructure and security-related projects
