About the Role


  • Manage complex translation assignments involving legal, technical, and sensitive documents (e.g., correspondences, contracts, manuals, HR materials) to meet organizational needs and ensure clarity and compliance.
  • Review and approve translations completed by team members through quality checks to ensure linguistic accuracy, consistency, and adherence to appropriate style, tone, and terminology.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of company-specific dictionaries and glossaries by conducting research, consulting references, and updating terminology databases to promote standardization and accuracy.
  • Develop and update translation workflows and guidelines by assessing current practices and applying best practices to improve quality and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure all translations meet legal, cultural, and linguistic standards by applying subject-matter expertise and reviewing content with a focus on industry-specific terminology in the aviation sector.
  • Liaise with senior management, legal teams, and external entities by facilitating effective communication and providing feedback to ensure mutual understanding of translated content.
  • Enforce translation quality control processes by conducting regular audits on sample translation batches to ensure consistency, formatting, and adherence to standards.
  • Continuously improve translation systems and workflows by integrating automation tools and terminology platforms to enhance efficiency and reduce turnaround time.
  • Evaluate external translation vendors by reviewing their deliverables to ensure they meet internal quality standards and support reliable outsourcing.
  • Represent the translation function in cross-departmental meetings by aligning efforts with corporate communication goals and ensuring effective support.
  • Prepare periodic performance and translation output reports by analyzing data and metrics to support informed strategic decisions and resource planning.
  • Act as the primary contact for cross-departmental translation and interpretation requests by understanding departmental needs and resolving issues proactively.
  • Participate in cross-departmental projects involving translation and interpretation by providing expert consultation and timely language support to meet project requirements.
  • Perform other department duties related to his / her position as directed by the Head of the Department
