A Wooden Joinery Machinery Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the continuous operation, safety, and efficiency of specialized woodworking equipment in a joinery factory. This role combines technical troubleshooting with team leadership to minimize production downtime and extend the life of high-value machinery like CNC routers, Planers, Shapers, Miter saw, panel saws, sliding saw, Hot Press veneer machine, Air Compressors, Dust Collectors and Edge banders.
Core Responsibilities
Preventative Maintenance Planning: Develop and implement scheduled maintenance programs for all joinery equipment, including lubrication, calibration, and part replacement (e.g., changing saw blades or setting up planning machines).
Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults in machinery such as saws, routers, shapers, and dust collection systems.
Team Leadership: supervise a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring they follow technical guidelines and safety protocols.
Inventory & Budget Management: Monitor stock levels for spare parts and tools, initiate purchase orders,
Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations, conduct regular safety inspections, and maintain lock-out/tag-out procedures.
Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all maintenance work, repairs, and performance metrics within a Maintenance Management System
