We are seeking a Procurement Engineer to manage the procurement process, ensuring timely sourcing and delivery of materials while maintaining quality and cost-effectiveness. The role focuses on supplier evaluation, quotation management, contract preparation, and close coordination with internal and external stakeholders to meet project deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, research, and evaluate potential suppliers to meet the organization’s standards for price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply.
- Receive RFQs from the technical team, ensuring specifications, data, drawings, and other requirements are complete and in accordance with client guidelines.
- Source potential suppliers in line with RFQ requirements. Seek client approval for suppliers not on the approved vendor list.
- Receive and review quotations, ensuring they meet technical specifications. Send to the technical team for evaluation.
- Prepare commercial bid tabulations based on technical evaluations and rank suppliers accordingly.
- Negotiate with shortlisted suppliers to secure the best pricing, timely delivery, and favorable payment terms, considering project schedules.
- Assist in the preparation of contracts or Letters of Intent (LOI), ensuring relevant terms and conditions are included for the purchased items.
- Ensure all necessary terms and conditions, including specifications, RVD (Required Vendor Documentation), and ITP (Inspection Test Plan), are attached to the purchase order. Verify shipping instructions and consignee details.
- Develop and maintain a Procurement Control List and provide updates to the project team or client as needed.
- Coordinate with the expeditor to ensure progressive inspections and timely delivery of equipment and materials.
