The Customer Services Assistant - Cashier is responsible for maintaining clean and orderly checkout areas while delivering exemplary customer service. This role entails managing various forms of payment, accurately computing and recording transactions, and ensuring adherence to financial SOPs to minimize losses. The position plays a critical role in enhancing customer satisfaction by addressing queries, minimizing checkout queues, and upholding the IKEA store and brand standards.
What You Will Do:
Financial
Receive payments by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits, adhering to SOPs for cash handling.
Compute and record transactions, ensuring 100% accuracy for all register transactions.
Count and record the float before trading begins and upon close of trading.
Handle cash and ensure the safe custody of collected cash.
Customers
Ensure that company's customers are well-attended to, assuring their needs are satisfied.
Work efficiently and effectively to minimize queues.
Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas.
Ensure and maintain an adequate stock of printed stationery at required stock level.
