The Business Unit Head – Software Solutions Architect will lead the software solutions division, having
strong technical expertise in software development ecosystems, proven ability to manage vendors and
strategic technology partners, technology strategy, vendor partnerships, and business growth. The candidate
will be responsible for P&L ownership, delivery excellence, and building high-performing technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Unit Leadership & Strategy
▪ Define the strategic roadmap for the Software Solutions business unit, aligned with organizational
goals.
▪ Own P&L, revenue growth, pricing strategies, and annual operating plans for the BU.
▪ Identify new market opportunities, technology trends, and solution areas to expand portfolio.
▪ Build and maintain a strong sales funnel through solution positioning, presales activities, and client
engagements.
2. Solution Architecture & Technical Leadership
▪ Lead the design and architecture of enterprise-level software solutions across web, mobile, cloud,
and integration platforms.
▪ Evaluate client requirements and translate business needs into scalable, secure, and cost-effective
technical solutions.
▪ Provide architectural governance, best practices, and technical standards across all delivery
projects.
▪ Review solution proposals, RFP responses, technical documentation, and estimations.
▪ Oversee end-to-end delivery lifecycle ensuring quality, performance, and alignment with
architectural guidelines.
3. Vendor Management & Technology Partnerships
▪ Manage relationships with software vendors, OEMs, cloud providers, and technology partners.
▪ Evaluate, onboard, and negotiate with vendors to optimize cost, licensing, support agreements, and
strategic benefits.

▪ Collaborate with global technology partners for joint solution development, certifications, and
partnership tier advancement.
▪ Ensure vendor capabilities align with organizational technology and business objectives.
4. Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management
▪ Build, mentor, and lead cross-functional teams including architects, developers, presales engineers,
and project managers.
▪ Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and customer-centric solutioning.
▪ Manage internal and external stakeholders, ensuring transparent communication, timely escalation,
and customer satisfaction.
▪ Conduct performance reviews, succession planning, and capability development.
Required Experience & Qualifications
Experience
▪ 6–8 years of progressive experience in software solutions architecture, technology consulting, or
software business leadership.
▪ Proven experience in vendor management, partnerships, and technology alliance building.
▪ Strong background in presales, Bid/RFP responses, solution design, and customer presentations.
▪ Experience managing cross-functional teams and leading end-to-end project delivery.
▪ Good understanding of software licensing, support agreements, and vendor ecosystems.
