On-Site Machining & Repair: Perform in-situ machining using single-point cutting slides for crankshafts and other shafts. Execute line boring of engine main bearing pockets and other bores. Carry out flange facing, surface milling, and other on-site machining procedures. Perform metal stitching to repair cracked or broken cast iron components.
Technical Execution: Interpret customer drawings, technical specifications, and tolerances to perform precise machining work. Use state-of-the-art laser and mechanical measurement tools to ensure correct alignment and precision. Record detailed dimensions and measurements on Goltens templates and prepare comprehensive reports with repair recommendations.
Operational Duties: Prepare and pack all tools and equipment for the job, arranging transport as needed. Travel frequently to local and international sites, often on short notice, for planned and emergency repairs. Prepare daily site reports with photographs and send them to the office by the end of each day. Perform daily and preventive maintenance of equipment to ensure it is in good working order.
Safety and Quality: Prioritize safety by strictly following company, client, and OSHA rules. Conduct risk assessments and follow all safety inductions and permit requirements. Maintain a high level of quality consciousness and ensure all work conforms to customer and engineering specifications.
