We are looking for an experienced Electrical Commissioning Specialist to support offshore commissioning activities on an oil and gas project. The role is focused on ensuring all electrical systems are mechanically complete, tested, energized, and safely handed over in compliance with project requirements, specifications, and applicable international standards.
Job Responsibilities
Support offshore commissioning activities for electrical systems including: Power distribution systems (LV & HV), Generators and motors, Switchgear and MCCs, Lighting, earthing, and UPS systems
Verify mechanical completion and system completion status to ensure readiness for pre-commissioning, commissioning, and handover
Review, manage, and close electrical punch lists in coordination with construction and QA/QC teams
Coordinate with construction, QA/QC, instrumentation, telecom, and commissioning teams to ensure proper work sequencing and interface management
Witness and support pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, including: Insulation resistance testing, Continuity and loop checks, Functional testing, Energization activities
Ensure electrical installations comply with approved drawings, project specifications, vendor documentation, and applicable codes and standards
Support preparation, review, and completion of commissioning dossiers, test records, and handover documentation
Participate in offshore safety meetings, toolbox talks, and commissioning readiness reviews
Report commissioning progress, risks, and technical issues to the Commissioning Lead and Project Management Team
Ensure strict adherence to offshore HSE requirements and safe work practices
