Responsible in managing the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, supplies, and equipment needed for the daily operations and maintenance of the village, ensuring that stock levels are monitored, inventory records are accurately maintained, and items are stored properly to prevent damage or loss, responsible for coordinating with other departments to fulfil requests for supplies, managing stock rotations, and ensuring timely deliveries.

Key Accountabilities
Scope
1.Directly overseeing the recording and monitoring of stock levels, ensuring supplies and materials are adequately stocked and available.
2.Supporting the generation of inventory reports and assisting with procurement requisitions and stock audits.
3.Collaborating with procurement, maintenance, and other teams to ensure smooth material flow and meet operational needs.
4.Receiving deliveries, verifying quantities, and inspecting the quality of materials and supplies.
5.Supporting efforts to optimize inventory systems, suggest improvements, and implement changes to enhance efficiency.
6.Ensuring items are stored in an organized, safe, and secure manner, adhering to standards and making them easily accessible.
7.Supporting maintenance efforts by ensuring proper storage and reporting damages or issues with tools and equipment.
8.Fulfilling internal requests and ensuring timely distribution of materials to various departments.
9.Implementing stock rotation practices to minimize waste and ensure the use of materials within their shelf life.
10.Adhering to safety regulations and ensuring proper storage and handling of materials, including hazardous goods.
Qualifications and Experience
Knowledge
- High School Diploma or equivalent; a vocational qualification in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus.
- Certification in Inventory Management or Warehousing
- 5-8 years of experience in a storekeeping, inventory management, or warehouse operations role, preferably in a construction, industrial, or workers' village setting.
- Basic IT literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP experience
- Understanding of the procurement cycle, including purchasing, receiving, inspecting, and distributing materials.
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations, particularly related to warehouse environments, material handling, and hazardous goods.
- Familiarity with conducting physical stock counts, stock reconciliations, and identifying discrepancies between physical inventory and system records.
