The Welding Engineer will ensure that all welding activities comply with API 650, ASME Section IX, and project specifications.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgical Engineering with a Master’s Degree in Welding Engineering.
OR
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgical Engineering with professional certification in Welding Engineering, such as:
IWE – International Welding Engineer
CWE – Certified Welding Engineer
Or another equivalent certification approved by the Company.
Minimum Experience Requirements
Minimum 12 years of experience in welding-related activities within Oil & Gas projects.
Demonstrated experience working on storage tank fabrication and erection projects in accordance with API 650.
Proven experience developing and qualifying Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR) in accordance with ASME Section IX.
Hands-on experience with mechanized welding processes used in tank fabrication, particularly:
Mechanized FCAW
Submerged Arc Welding (SAW)
Experience coordinating with QA/QC teams, welding inspectors, and third-party inspection agencies
Prior experience with ADNOC project and AGES Specification experience is essential
