- Oversee and manage all welding activities in Oil & Gas projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, codes, and industry standards.
- Develop and review welding procedures (WPS/PQR), ensuring they meet the required standards and are properly followed during project execution.
- Provide technical support for welding operations, troubleshooting welding-related issues, and ensuring the quality of welded joints.
- Conduct NDT inspections including RT (Radiographic Testing), UT (Ultrasonic Testing), MT (Magnetic Particle Testing), and PT (Penetrant Testing) to ensure the quality and integrity of welded components.
- Lead and manage welding teams to ensure safe and efficient welding processes in line with the project’s technical requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure that welding activities are integrated into the project’s overall execution plan.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as ASME, AWS, and ISO 9001 during welding operations.
- Develop and maintain welding-related documentation, including weld maps, inspection records, and compliance reports.
- Conduct training sessions for junior welding engineers and field welders to improve welding practices and quality standards.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of welding activities, ensuring corrective actions are taken when required.
