Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Wood Polisher to join our client’s team in Sharjah. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, polishing, and finishing wooden surfaces to achieve high-quality results for furniture, fixtures, and custom woodwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare wooden surfaces by sanding, cleaning, and applying base coats
- Mix and apply stains, sealants, lacquers, and varnishes using brushes, spray guns, or cloths
- Buff and polish wood to achieve desired sheen and smoothness
- Inspect finished surfaces for defects and ensure quality standards are met
- Maintain polishing tools and equipment in good working condition
- Collaborate with carpenters and production staff to meet project timelines
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
Qualification & Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in wood polishing or furniture finishing.
- Hindi speaking candidates preferred.
- Familiarity with various types of wood and finishing materials.
- Skilled in manual and machine polishing techniques.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and ability to handle polishing equipment.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety practices.
