The MEP Technician plays a crucial role in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within a facility. This position involves a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and hands-on work to ensure the proper functioning of MEP systems.· Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.· Perform regular checks on HVAC, electrical panels, plumbing fixtures, and other MEP components.· Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with MEP systems, including identifying faulty components and implementing effective repair solutions.· Execute repairs and replacements of defective equipment or systems.· Monitor and maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.· Calibrate and adjust HVAC controls to optimize performance and energy efficiency.· Inspect and repair electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, and electrical panels.· Install and replace electrical components, such as switches, outlets, and circuit breakers.· Inspect and maintain plumbing systems, fixtures, and piping.· Identify and repair leaks, clogs, and other plumbing issues.· Ensure that all MEP systems comply with safety regulations and building codes.· Implement safety procedures and precautions during maintenance and repair activities.· Calibrate and adjust MEP equipment to meet performance specifications.· Keep records of calibration activities and schedule routine checks.· Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment specifications.· Create and update documentation for MEP systems, including manuals and operating procedures.· Coordinate with other maintenance staff, contractors, and facility managers to address complex issues and project requirements.· Communicate effectively with team members and provide technical support when needed.
