Job TitleMEP Coordination DraftsmanCompanyFatherson International FZELocationUAEPosition SummaryThe MEP Coordination Draftsman is responsible for preparing, coordinating and updating MEP shop drawings and coordination drawings in line with project specifications, consultant requirements and site conditions. The role involves close coordination with engineers, site teams and other disciplines to ensure clash-free, constructible services layouts.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare MEP shop drawings & coordination drawings for:HVACPlumbing & DrainageFire FightingElectrical & Low Current (as applicable)Develop combined services drawings ensuring proper coordination between architectural, structural and MEP services.Review design drawings, highlight discrepancies and raise RFIs for clarifications.Coordinate with MEP Engineers, Site Team, Consultants and Main Contractor for drawing approvals and revisions.Identify and resolve clashes using drawings and mark-ups in coordination with engineers (and BIM team, if applicable).Prepare as-built drawings based on site redlines and final installations.Update drawings as per site changes, VO’s (variation orders) and client / consultant instructions.Ensure all drawings comply with:Project specificationsLocal authority regulations (DEWA, DCD, etc. if applicable)Company CAD standards and layering systemsMaintain proper filing and documentation of all drawings, revisions and transmittals.Support site team with printouts, mark-ups and technical sketches as required.Qualifications & ExperienceDiploma / ITI in Mechanical / Electrical / MEP Drafting or related field.3–6 years experience as MEP Draftsman / MEP Coordination Draftsman (UAE/GCC experience preferred).Strong technical knowledge of:HVAC layouts & duct routingPipe routing (water supply, drainage, chilled water, fire fighting)Electrical containment & equipment layoutsHands-on experience in 2D drafting (AutoCAD); exposure to BIM/Revit is an added advantage (if you want, we can remove this line).Skills & CompetenciesProficient in AutoCAD and MS Office.Good understanding of MEP services coordination and practical site constraints (levels, clearances, access, etc.).Ability to read and interpret:Architectural & structural drawingsMEP design drawings & schematicsAttention to detail and accuracy in drafting.Good communication and coordination skills with engineers and site teams.Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.Employment DetailsJob Type: Full-timeWork Location: UAE (as per project requirement)Reporting To: MEP Engineer / Project Engineer / Design ManagerSalary & Benefits: As per company standards and based on experience
