Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled 3D Printing Engineer to manage, operate, and optimize additive manufacturing processes. The role involves working with industrial and desktop 3D printers, preparing print files, selecting materials, performing maintenance, and supporting product development, prototyping, and production activities.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate and manage FDM, SLA, SLS, and other additive manufacturing systemsPrepare and optimize 3D models for printing (slicing, supports, orientation, tolerances)Perform printer calibration, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenanceSelect appropriate materials based on mechanical, thermal, and aesthetic requirementsMonitor print jobs to ensure quality and minimize failuresPost-process printed parts (cleaning, curing, sanding, finishing, assembly)Collaborate with design, engineering, and production teams on prototypes and end-use partsMaintain print logs, material consumption records, and job reportsImplement workflow improvements to increase efficiency and reduce wasteTrain staff or clients on machine operation and best practices when requiredRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)Hands-on experience with 3D printing technologies (FDM, SLA, SLS, MJF, etc.)Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, AutoCAD, or similar)Experience with slicing software (PrusaSlicer, Cura, Simplify3D, PreForm, etc.)Understanding of materials such as PLA, ABS, PETG, Nylon, Resins, and compositesKnowledge of mechanical design, tolerancing, and DfAM (Design for Additive Manufacturing)
