Operations Executive – Shipping & Logistics
IBS Shipping Services is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Operations Executive to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the day-to-day operations of our shipping and logistics services. This includes managing shipments, liaising with clients, ensuring compliance with shipping regulations, and optimizing operational efficiency. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth and timely delivery of goods.Key Responsibilities:Oversee the daily operations of shipping and logistics activities, ensuring the smooth flow of shipments.Coordinate with customers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.Monitor and track shipments, providing regular updates to clients and resolving any issues that may arise.Prepare and maintain accurate documentation for shipping, including invoices, shipping instructions, and customs clearance forms.Ensure compliance with all relevant shipping regulations, including customs and import/export procedures.Manage inventory and ensure proper documentation for stock movement.Coordinate with transport companies, shipping agents, and other third-party service providers to ensure timely deliveries.Handle customer inquiries and resolve operational issues related to shipments, logistics, and customs procedures.Support the management team in optimizing operational processes and improving service efficiency.Maintain accurate records of shipments, deliveries, and inventory.Assist in preparing reports on operational performance and delivery timelines for management.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.Minimum 2 years of experience in the shipping, logistics, or supply chain sector.Strong knowledge of shipping regulations, customs procedures, and international shipping processes.Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and shipping software.Knowledge of the UAE shipping and logistics industry is highly preferred.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Benefits:Competitive salary based on experience.Opportunities for career growth and professional development.Supportive and dynamic work environment.If you have a passion for shipping and logistics and meet the qualifications outlined above, we encourage you to apply.
