Job Description2.1 Emergency Medical Technician-Basic (EMT-B) responds to emergency calls to provide efficient and immediate care to the critically ill and injured patient, and to transport the patient to a medical facility.2.2 Ensures both personnel and vehicle readiness and availability to respond to accident or sudden illness or emergencies.Responsibilities3.1 Responds to medical and surgical emergency calls, accompany the ambulance driver to the scene and provides basic life support to the victims before they are transported to the hospital.3.2 Evaluates the nature and extent of illness or injury to determine the right course of actions.
