Job Description:

The Cloud Engineer is responsible for designing, building, automating, and maintaining scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services. The role emphasizes Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, and cloud-native best practices to enable rapid, reliable delivery of platforms and services. The engineer works closely with DevOps, security, and application teams to support CI/CD pipelines, optimize costs, enforce governance, and improve system reliability.

Infrastructure Automation:

• 90% of cloud infrastructure provisioned via IaC (Terraform / CloudFormation), with zero manual production changes outside approved pipelines.

• Infrastructure deployment time reduced by at least 40% through automated CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure changes.

• Configuration drift incidents reduced to near zero, validated via automated compliance checks and version-controlled infrastructure repositories.

Operational Resilience:

• Platform availability maintained at ≥ 99.9% uptime for production workloads, excluding approved maintenance windows.

• Successful execution of scheduled backup and disaster recovery tests with documented recovery objectives met (RTO/RPO within agreed thresholds).
