Purpose of the Role:
To ensure accurate, timely, and competitive project estimations by gathering technical data, analyzing requirements, and supporting the department in cost management and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Estimation & Analysis
- Prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, technical drawings, specifications, and related documents.
- Extract quantities from technical drawings and prepare the BOQ.
- Identify labor, material, and time requirements by reviewing proposals, blueprints, and specifications.
- Compute costs by analyzing labor, material, and time needs.
- Resolve discrepancies through information collection and analysis.
Cross-Functional Coordination & Reporting
- Collaborate with internal teams to validate actual time and cost data for accurate estimation.
- Present estimates by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.
- Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Maintain and update the cost database for accurate historical records.
Team Support & Leadership
- Review and validate work completed by junior team members to ensure accuracy and quality.
Departmental Oversight & Strategic Contribution
- Act as the key contact in the absence of the department head, ensuring smooth operations and timely deliverables.
- Contribute to process improvements and best practices to enhance estimation accuracy and efficiency.
- Ensure stakeholder deadlines are met while maintaining high-quality standards.
