Purpose of the Role:

To ensure accurate, timely, and competitive project estimations by gathering technical data, analyzing requirements, and supporting the department in cost management and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Estimation & Analysis

• Prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, technical drawings, specifications, and related documents.
• Extract quantities from technical drawings and prepare the BOQ.
• Identify labor, material, and time requirements by reviewing proposals, blueprints, and specifications.
• Compute costs by analyzing labor, material, and time needs.
• Resolve discrepancies through information collection and analysis.

Cross-Functional Coordination & Reporting

• Collaborate with internal teams to validate actual time and cost data for accurate estimation.
• Present estimates by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.
• Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Maintain and update the cost database for accurate historical records.

Team Support & Leadership

• Review and validate work completed by junior team members to ensure accuracy and quality.

Departmental Oversight & Strategic Contribution

• Act as the key contact in the absence of the department head, ensuring smooth operations and timely deliverables.
• Contribute to process improvements and best practices to enhance estimation accuracy and efficiency.
• Ensure stakeholder deadlines are met while maintaining high-quality standards.
