Purpose of the Role:To ensure accurate, timely, and competitive project estimations by gathering technical data, analyzing requirements, and supporting the department in cost management and best practices.Key Responsibilities:Project Estimation & AnalysisPrepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, technical drawings, specifications, and related documents.Extract quantities from technical drawings and prepare the BOQ.Identify labor, material, and time requirements by reviewing proposals, blueprints, and specifications.Compute costs by analyzing labor, material, and time needs.Resolve discrepancies through information collection and analysis.Cross-Functional Coordination & ReportingCollaborate with internal teams to validate actual time and cost data for accurate estimation.Present estimates by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.Maintain and update the cost database for accurate historical records.Team Support & LeadershipReview and validate work completed by junior team members to ensure accuracy and quality.Departmental Oversight & Strategic ContributionAct as the key contact in the absence of the department head, ensuring smooth operations and timely deliverables.Contribute to process improvements and best practices to enhance estimation accuracy and efficiency.Ensure stakeholder deadlines are met while maintaining high-quality standards.
