Job Purpose
The Credit Evaluator is responsible for assessing credit applications by analyzing financial information, risk factors, and borrower profiles to determine creditworthiness. The role ensures compliance with the bank’s credit policies, regulatory requirements, and risk management standards.
Key Responsibilities
Review and evaluate credit applications for corporate clients.
Analyze financial statements, credit reports, bank statements, and supporting documents.
Conduct a credit risk assessment.
Ensure compliance with internal credit policies and regulatory guidelines.
Prepare credit evaluation reports and recommendations for approval authorities.
Identify potential credit risks and propose mitigation strategies.
Coordinate with Relationship Managers, Risk, and Compliance teams during the evaluation process.
Ensure all credit proposals/requests are approved as per delegated limits of authority and all required approvals of the Management Credit Committee/Board are obtained.
Be vigilant and identify any wrong-doings and misconduct from internal or external individuals to prevent unaccountable losses and preserve the bank’s reputation.
Escalate any identified fraud attempts to relevant stakeholders for prompt remedial action, and take proactive measures to prevent recurrences.
