1. To conduct trainings via classroom and field sessions for new and existing port employees for specific equipment based on the recommendation from their respective department.
2. To train and instruct company employees, in safe and efficient use of port & crane equipment along with safe operating procedures by using structured equipment operating training course materials and standards.
3. To conduct pre-assessments for new, existing and 3rd party employee to determine their training requirement level and forward the results to Lead Trainer for his final review and approval.
4. To educate trainees on potential causes of accidents / damages / safety hazards within the operations area from past incidents and ensure that they follow proper operating procedure to avoid any damages to people, equipment and property in their near future assignments.
5. To monitor trainee’s performance and conduct formative assessments at regular interval based on completion of each module ( Classroom / Field / Yard) and update the Lead Trainer on the progress of each trainee.
6. To recommend the trainees to the Lead Trainer / Trainer upon completion of trainings in order to conduct final assessment along with the Traffic Officer.
7. To update trainees on the new operational procedures, systems as and when required, based on department’s request.
