Surveyor is responsible for contributing to all technical activities within the Geomatics department and leading on dimensional control projects and will report directly to project Lead

Key Accountabilities

1. Use measurements of surveying equipment to determine property lines and boundaries.
2. Research additional information about a proposed plot through titles, survey records and land records.
3. Conducting field surveys and digital mapping to collect data for the construction.
4. Maintain calibration log for the survey instruments.
5. Demonstrate survey benchmark or control points as per the details on the reference drawing and project design.
6. Regular monitoring verifying the task performing as per the project requirements and specification.
7. Maintain record of all activities in survey field book.
8. Prepare As Built drawings.
9. Measuring plot limits in coordination with available client given demarcation points.
10. Preparing drawings and survey reports.
11. Setting out for the commencement of the proposed work using total station and GPS.
12. Transferring levels from the initial reference point.
