About the Role:
As a Mechanical Engineer based in Jeddah, you will lead the design, analysis, and optimization of mechanical systems and components for energy sector projects. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and reliable engineering solutions that meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
Develop detailed mechanical designs and 3D models using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and CATIA
Perform engineering analyses including finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to validate designs
Conduct thermodynamics and heat transfer calculations to ensure system efficiency and reliability
Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and documentation in compliance with industry standards
Collaborate with project managers, procurement, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless project execution
Review and verify vendor deliverables and supplier documentation
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during prototyping, testing, and production
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in mechanical design and analysis
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and CATIA
Strong hands-on experience with FEA and CFD tools
In-depth knowledge of thermodynamics and heat transfer principles
Demonstrated ability to perform engineering calculations and problem-solving
Familiarity with mechanical design standards and manufacturing processes
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
Professional Engineer (PE) licensure or equivalent certification
Experience in the oil and gas or petrochemical industry
Project management certification (PMP or similar)
Experience with PLM/PDM systems
Advanced training or certification in FEA/CFD methods
Leadership experience in engineering project teams
