The Merchandising Supervisor is responsible for overseeing merchandising activities across assigned customers /territories. The role ensures proper product visibility, plano guide compliance, stock availability, and execution of promotional activities to maximize sales and brand presence in the market.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Make available an updated list of all outlets to be visited by the Merchandising Team, along with the names of Merchandisers and their call cycles (Journey Plan).
Handle key accounts such as Lulu Hypermarket, Carrefour, Union Coop, and Sharjah Coop to ensure strong product visibility, availability, and promotional execution.
Ensure product visibility, plano guide compliance, and proper shelf placement across all assigned outlets.
Monitor adherence of Merchandisers to the Journey Plan through daily Merchandising Reports and ensure implementation of merchandising guidelines and 4P strategies.
Monitor stock availability and coordinate with the sales team to avoid out-of-stock situations and maintain optimal inventory levels.
Forecast and submit regional channel POSM requirements to the Trade Marketing department for both generic and thematic events and coordinate closely with the Shopper Marketing team for promotion planning and in-store activations.
Conduct regular market visits and prepare merchandising reports, including competitor activities,
display compliance, and asset tracking updates.
Report customer and consumer-related quality issues through Customer Complaint Forms and escalate as necessary.
Support the sales team in achieving their sales targets through effective merchandising, product
availability, and promotional execution.
Manage recruitment, training, and development of the merchandising team, ensure timely motivation of Merchandisers, and communicate monthly initiatives and KPI achievements to the Sales Operation Manager, RSM, KAM, and Key Account Executives.

Outlet Coverage & Journey Plan Adherence – % of planned outlets visited by Merchandisers on
schedule.
Product Visibility & Planogram Compliance – % of shelves/displays compliant with merchandising
guidelines and plano guides.
Stock Availability & Out-of-Stock Reduction – % of time key products are available at assigned outlets.
POSM & Promotional Execution – % of planned promotions and POSM implementations executed
correctly and on time.
Sales Support & Key Account Performance – Contribution to sales targets for key accounts (e.g., Lulu
Hypermarket, Carrefour, Union Coop, Sharjah Coop). Merchandising Team Productivity: Effective
supervision of merchandisers to ensure outlet coverage and merchandising standards.
