Position Summary

The Procurement Officer is responsible for managing and executing all procurement activities efficiently and in full compliance with company policies and procedures. The ideal candidate must possess a strong technical and mechanical background in MEP, Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical works to ensure effective evaluation of technical specifications, vendor proposals, and the quality of materials and services provided.

Key Responsibilities

· Review and process assigned Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and Work Orders in a timely manner.

· Forward enquiries and/or RFPs to approved vendors in line with project and company requirements.

· Evaluate and negotiate received proposals with a focus on technical accuracy, cost-effectiveness, and quality compliance.

· Prepare a Bid Comparison (Bid Tab) with a minimum of three quotations, including required specifications and supporting documents.

· Raise Purchase Orders (POs) after obtaining necessary approvals from concerned departments.

· Source and qualify potential vendors in accordance with departmental and company procurement policies.

· Maintain an updated and approved vendor database relevant to MEP, Civil, Mechanical and Electrical disciplines.

· Ensure vendor compliance with project scope, specifications, and contractual terms & conditions.

· Foster and maintain positive relationships with internal departments and external suppliers to ensure smooth operations.

· Monitor vendor performance and quality of supplied materials and services.

· Submit weekly reports detailing issued and pending orders to the Procurement Supervisor/Manager.
· Submit monthly/quarterly cost-saving reports highlighting procurement efficiencies and value achievements.
